Our Story

Monterrico - Livy

Sadly we left Antigua and started for Monterrico. It was a little out of our path but we heard from Landons parents that this town was awesome. We got to our hotel called  El Delfine. It had a giant pool with a Volly ball net.

It was really hot out so the first
thing we did was jump in the pool. We met a couple on there Honey moon.(Hi Anna,Hi Cas) We spent the rest of the day playing Volley Ball in the pool. At about 4:30 we went to a turtle hatchery.  It is were they harvest turtle eggs and help them get to the ocean when they hatch.  We first  checked out the center were they had crocks, turtles and iguanas.
At 5:30 we went to beach and stood by a roped off area. The people who worked there brought out 2 buckets full of newly hatched baby turtles.  They then gave each of us littel bowls with 2 turtles in them and we counted down from 3 then let all of them run to the ocean. We were cheering them on and watching them scurry

There were a couple of slow ones and a man asked me and Anneka if we wanted to pick them up and bring them to the ocean!!!

They were soooo cute. All of this,as amazing as it was,we had the sunset in the background. We headed back to El Dalphine and had a awesome dinner. We went to our room and it felt like we were in a oven! The next day we played volley ball in the pool, hung out at the beach and went back to the baby sea turtles.

Monterrico was awesome like most beach towns. Next off we are headed to lake Atit land.
