Our Story

Livy Sept 13th-Driving the Coast of Oregon

Hello USA.I know,I know I haven't been writing my blog but there has been a lot going on lately.
First we went to Seattle and stayed at the KOA. We met two friends there, one was younger than me and one younger than Anneka. We had a ton of fun playing with them....

We went to downtown Seattle and had a underground tour .Because in the 1800s Seattle had a big fire that burnt down the whole city.Who would have thought I actually enjoyed it. Did you know that in the 1800s toilets were called Crappers!

After the KOA we went to a campground called Friends Landing. We met a girl there named Nay-Nay.She was our last friend because it was the day before school. At Friends Landing. We went to Ruby Beach. It's a beautiful beach with big rocks and caves. We stayed in Portland for a night and really good food from the food trucks.

Ecola state park was beautiful. We went to a beach called Indian beach and found so many tide pools with crabs and starfish We didn't have our buckets though, so we couldn't pic any of them up.

After Indian beach,we went to seaside aquarium . They had a type of seal they're called harbor seals. You could buy food for them and feed them. They each had a trick so you would feed them. One would get up on a rock and smack it's side, another would splash you with water until you fed it!My favorite was Pipy. She would stand up on her back legs and wave at herself. It was sooooooo cute!

If you've seen the Goonies, remember that part where they first saw the big rock? Well I saw that!It was called Haystack rock. It is much bigger than you expect. There where tide pools there but there was a lot of tourists there so there were no  crabs. Uhgggg!

We did a stressful hike up a hill and normally I wouldn't be telling you this but I am because at the top we found a World War 2 bunker! It was so cool.I am not kidding  when I say it was as big as a a house. Normally bunkers were very small.

We stayed at a town called New Port. It had a crazy amount of sea lions that kept us up all night! We were wondering if they ever sleep.

In new Port,We went to the lighthouse and went to the visitors center. It was a great visitors center. There was old fashioned clothing and me and Anneka and me dressed in them.we stood in front of the background and my mom made it black and white and hears how it turned out. After that we went down to the beach with our buckets and found so many crabs in the tide pools.I was in paradise.

We went surfing the next day and it was so fun at Otter beach. I did much better than I did in Tofino. There were some really big waves that I had to hold on to my dad so I wouldn't go flying.
