Our Story

Livy Oct 7th- Panama City

We had to take 2 planes to get to Panama. We had to drive back to LA. Which was a pain but it was fun.Our first flight was 4 hours.I watched 2 Diary of a wimpy kids.I read a bit but then felt sick. Our seconded flight was only 2 hours.I watched Rio 2.When we got there it was 9:00.So by time we got to our hotel, it was 10:00.I was exhausted. The next day we went to see the Panama Canal .What many of you don't know Panama is most famous for the canal. It is a short cut for ships going from The Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Or the other way around. We went  back to the hotel and played in the pool for the rest of the day. That night we ordered food from the restaurant downstairs. I got the traditional Panamanian soup.Anneka got spaghetti. But we ended up switching.

The next day we had to wake up early to go a tour to a Native America's tribe The Embera. There people have been living that way for 1000 years. No one spoke English so it was hard to communicate with the  kids.for lunch we had fish, fried Plantain and fresh picked fruit. We taught the kids how to play Ring around the rosee and tag.It was the really fun.

The next day we went to Jungle Land. It is a floating lodge in the middle of the Jungle. Our tour guide was Juan. He was so nice.On the way to throw lodge we stopped at the edge of the forest and Juan gave us Peanuts. He did a whistling noise and a bunch of white faced monkeys ran to the boat and took the peanuts and and them it was adorable!they were climbing all over the boat. And jumping on our legs.We kept driving and saw the howler monkeys. Finally we arrived at the lodge but the boat kept going  past the lodge and into another clearing.Juan did a not her whistle and gave us banana. This time much smaller monkeys came. They had such a adorable, innocent face  hey were ,you favorite monkeys. When we got back to the lodge we went on a kayak ride to a water fall.it was a pretty small waterfall so we went to the top and jumped of.When we got  back me and Anneka jumped of the diving board a couple of times. The we kayak teddy back over to the little monkeys with some more banana. We had about an hour after that until the night safari. It is when you go on a boat and try and see caiman  (a type of small crocodile )and other nocturnal animals. During this hour I just lied in the hammock and read.We only saw caymen and iguanas the night safari. We caught a iguana and it peed all over the boat. What was really cool was when Juan caught a little cayman. I wouldn't touch it but Anneka held it!When we got back we've went to bed.And the next  day we would head off to Boca.
