Our Story

Koh Phangan

We left Koh Sumoy and headed to Koh Phangan. We were staying at a hotel basically meant for young partieres. It was kind of gross and my bed was the worst bed ever. It was literally just a mattress with springs sticking out. It felt like I was lying on spikes. Me and Anneka ended up sharing a bed. There was a pool with a small waterside. That made it better. The beach we were on was beautiful, but full of glass from a giant party a couple days before. You could not walk on it without shoes, or you would cut your feet. We saw some guys picking buckets of it out of the water! It was crazy! We went for lunch at a restaurant close to the hotel. It was OK. I got Massaman cury. After lunch we went swimming at the hotel.

For dinner we went to a different restaurant. I got fried noodles and for dessert a Oreo shake. It was really good, like Really good. After dinner we walked to the other side of the island. It was were the ferry dock was. We got there just as the sun was setting, so as you can imagine, it was really beautiful.

The next day we got ready and rented a car and driver for the day. First they took us to a beach on the other side of the island. We walked through a really nice resort to get there. The beach it was on was really nice, and did not have any glass on it. The resort we walked through was the same price as the place we were staying at currently, so decided to book it for the rest of our stay. We ate lunch there (which was awesome, all of us loved our meal) then all went for a swim. After that beach, we went to a waterfall. This had absolutely no water in it. It had not rained in forever, therefor no waterfall. We did a walk to a "Viewpoint" which was nothing except a tiny view of the ocean through the trees. We walked back down and went to the biggest tree on the island. It was massive!!! You had to look straight up if you wanted to see the top.

It was so big. Next we went to a restaurant on top of a mountain. It had the most beautiful view ever. It was really expensive, so we just got a pop to share.

We then went to my favorite beach called Malibu beach. Half the beach was in the shade while the other half was in the sun! We got a drink at the restaurant, then went for a swim.
This is me and moms favorite pic of the trip

We did not really get any good pictures of the beach

After Malibu, we drove back home. We stayed at our place one more night then went to the really nice resort. Over the next few days we just hung out at the beach and at the hotels pool. One night we went to a bar on the beach at sunset We laid down our blanket and stayed there for about 1 hour. We met a little toddler and played with her the whole time. She was so cute!

Family selfie

In any case, on the last day we were there we went on a snorkeling tour. It was awesome! The snorkeling was great. One of the stops was a beach with a really long mountain hike. The rest of my family went on it but I did not. I stayed at the bottom and read my book. This is what they saw at the top:
Someone took there picture for them

Almost touching the clouds!

The view
Another place we went had a smaller hike, that had a view of a lake on the other side of the mountain. The lake was part of a National park, so you could not go swimming. Me and my mom went first, and Anneka and my dad followed us after.

We met 2 french ladies who were really nice. We were talking with them all day ( I was only talking french).

We then rode back to the ferry dock and drove home. That was all for Koh Phangan. WE all loved it and are sad to leave. I hope I will be back but we must move on.
Next stop VIETNAM!!!
