Our Story

Mexico, week one - Livy

We left Belize and went to relax for a month in Playa Del Carmen. We took a 4 hour bus ride after the longest boat ride EVER!!! It was so bumpy! Every second seemed like a hour! So when we got hear, it was really late. We headed straight  to our apartment, witch is small but nice and has the most amazing pool!

The next day we went to Walmart so we could have a full fridge before my Nana came. (My nana and brother are coming to visit us here.)We spent that afternoon walking around and seeing the city. We got our rental car and drove down to the beach. It is the most beautiful beach we have ever been on! The sand is so soft and the water is crystal clear!

Anyway, the next day we went to the beach and walked down 5th Avenue. This place is so touristy. There are more tourists then Mexicans! We had one more day before my nana came, so we decided to see some of the cenotes. The cenotes are these pools of water in the jungle that are good for snorkeling. We went to one of the closet one. It was beautiful and had a cliff you could jump off of. We put our feet in the water and all the fish came and started biting our feet! It kinda tickled but felt  really good.

We spent the mourning there and then went to another one down the road. It was int  as peatty as the other one but much better for swimming. This one had 2 jumping platforms. Me and my dad went on both but Anneka and my mom only went on one.

The next day we went to the air port to pick up my nana. Her fight came in really late and we were waiting there for 3 hours!!!! It was crazy! Finally we got her and headed back. We showed her the beach and walked down 5th Avenue. That week was pretty much spent at the beach. We went to a new cenote that was pretty much only for snorkeling.  Me and my dad went down the hole river but my mom, Anneka and my nana went out and waited.

One night we went on a tour on a pirate ship. We had a delicious dinner and fun music. We weren't home by 11 and me and Anneka where exhausted!!!

It was really fun. The week with nana went by very quickly. She had to leave so soon. Miss you already nana!!!

The day after she left we went to a island called Isla Mujeres. It was really nice and not as touristy as Playa Del Carmen.

We rented a golf cart for the day an went from one side of the island to another. We went to a beach with amazing snorkeling.  My dad forgot his underwater camera so we don't have any pictures.
The next day I woke up felling nauseous. It took about a hour before I barfed. For the rest of the day every time I ate something I would barf it up. It was the longest day of my life!!! I spent the whole day watching TV. That  night I finally had some chicken broth that stayed. The next mourning I woke up feeling totally fine.
So far Playa Del Carmen is great. A little touristy for us but other then that, its awesome.
