Our Story

Paris - Livy

OK, before I start this post, I am just going to say that I have been looking forward to Paris this whole trip. Out of all the places, this is what I have been most exited about. We are finally HERE!!!!!

We left Lisbon and flew into Paris. I was very exited because my brother was coming to visit us. WE have not seen him since MEXICO!!! That was more than 6 months! (Was it that long ago?) |Anyway, Paris started off great. Our place was beautiful. Very modern. Jesse came around one hour after we had got there. We said Hi and believe it or not, it was time for bed. The next day we went to see Paris. I kept looking for the Effil tower, but did not see it until we rounded the corner of a old building. I swear, my heart stopped. I know it was not the greatest view but it was something.
Our first glimpse of the Effel tower

We walked the rest of the way and it was just as I expected, absolutely amazing.

My dad taught me how to take this

When we were leaving, we got this view

The next couple of days was spent seeing the most famous spots in Paris. We went to the Notre dame, (Now I want to see the movie, The hunchback of Notre Dame.) saw the louvre ( I think Mona Lisa is overrated, but still one of the most famous paintings in the world.), went to the grand palace, saw the Ach du triumph, and went to the garden of Luxembourg.

Anneka birthday was coming up, but my brother would not be here when it happened so, we decided to go have a birthday dinner the night before he left. We went to a fancy restaurant, well, fancy for us, and had a great meal. Anneka has been dying for a expensive outfit from a store called mango, and I convinced my mom to get it for her. Just as we sat down I brought her to the bathroom and showed it to her. She screamed so loud! It made me so happy. At the end of the dinner, a lot of the staff team came to the table with a dessert and sang her happy birthday, in French. I'll admit I was a little jealous, but, it was so awesome!
It had such a big candle

The next day was very sad. My brother was leaving for Spain and Thailand. We walked down to a street with lots of pubs, and sat down to have a drink. We then walked down a little ally way to his bus station where we had to say goodbye. We would be seeing him in 3 weeks though. We gave our hugs and kisses and went back to the airBNB.

Anneka has been dying to go to Disneyland, and as some of you may know, there is a Disney in Paris. Now Anneka did not know that. So my parents arranged it that we would be at  Disney for the 24th, her birthday. I knew this and I almost slipped a couple of times, but I managed to keep my lips sealed long enough . Anneka almost cried she was so happy when she finally found out were we were going. It was not as good as the one in Orlando, but for Anneka's sake, we all pretended it was awesome. It was actually not horrible. Just the rides. My favorite one was a star wars ride. It was a roller coaster where you could barely see anything. It had so many loops and you were never expecting them. It was awesome! We went on 3 times!!!  We had a good day, Anneka had a blast, witch I guess was the whole point. Now I have a 7 year old sister.

The castle was pink and blue!

We had a great time in Paris, but we are not finished with France. Next we are going to the northern part of it to see the Canadian war memorials.
NEXT STOP, NORMANDY!!!!
